The film opens with an operation carried out by the maroon berets, who were brought to the region in September 2015 to capture the PKK members who had killed 16 soldiers in Hakkari Dağlıca, and who switched off their radios so as not to receive an order to turn back. The team then joins Captain Mehmet and the unit under his command in Syria, where they try to eliminate Ebu Salim, nicknamed "the Imam of the Desert", the head of a terrorist organisation threatening Turkish border security. It later emerges that the structure supporting this terrorist organisation is FETÖ, and the film turns into a struggle against these individuals.
